If the Industry Is So Bad, Leave It: Karan Johar to Kangana Ranaut

Karan Johar may have held it in on Koffee With Karan, but it seems like whatever he held back from Kangana Ranaut in her episode, he’s now saying it all.
The Rangoon actress, who appeared on the show with co-star Saif Ali Khan, held KJo responsible for being the “flag-bearer of nepotism in Bollywood”.
As you can see in the video below, Karan speaks about how he gave Kangana a platform to speak her mind, but he is also “done with Kangana playing the woman card and the victim card”. He added that if she finds the industry so bad, she should just leave it.

It is an official remake of the Tamil blockbuster film ‘Kaththi’ that was released in 2014. In an official poster released, the filmmakers have said that the film has so far collected Rs 164 crore, and it is the highest-ever in south India in a single language. The film, which had its release on the auspicious day of Sankranti, opened to electrifying response from fans. The film had a record breaking opening on its first day, raking in more than Rs 47 crore, befitting the film’s tagline ‘Boss Is Back’.

Salman Khan's advice to Varun Dhawan: Don't be over smart

Actor Varun Dhawan, who is stepping into the shoes of Salman Khan in the sequel to 'Judwaa', says the superstar has advised him to listen to his director and not be over smart.

"The only advice Salman Khan has given me for 'Judwaa 2' is that, 'listen to your dad (director David Dhawan) and don't be over smart'," Varun said.

The 29-year-actor actor says he was a kid when 'Judwaa' released in 1997 and remembers his first meeting with Salman at a special screening of the film. "I just remember watching 'Judwaa' in theater during a special screening and meeting Salman Khan for the first time. I don't remember much as I was small."

In 'Judwaa', Salman played double role as Prem, the naive guy, while Raja, who was the street smart chap. In the second installment that is being made almost after two decade, Varun will be seen as the 'new-age tapori'.

"It is sad that we don't make films on taporis anymore. There will be a big change in the character of Raja in the sequel. But I would not like to speak much about it. It is far different from what Salman did in the first film," Varun says.

Except actress Rambha, all lead actors of the original comic caper will be seen in cameo in the sequel. "I cannot say anything about it right now because I want people to be surprised, especially by Salman Khan's character in the film ('Judwaa 2')," he says.

Beside 'Judwaa 2', Varun will be collaborating with filmmaker Shoojit Sircar for the first time. "There is something that he has narrated to me which I really liked. I wanted to work with Shoojit Sircar ever since I watched 'Vicky Donor'. I will start shooting for the film after 'Judwaa 2' and it is a love story," he says.

Who should replace Hugh Jackman as Logan? Take our poll, Shah Rukh’s in it too!

Interestingly, as synonymous as he has become for playing the mutant (in nine movies), Jackman wasn’t always the first choice for the part. He joined the first X-Men film after it had already begun shooting and original Wolverine actor Dougray Scott had to drop out at the last moment.
But since the series is showing no signs of slowing down, we can begin the fan casting now. Don’t forget to vote for your favourite in the poll below.

Charlie Hunnam
Hunnam broke out in the ensemble biker drama Sons of Anarchy. He went on to star in major Hollywood movies like Pacific Rim and the upcoming King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.

Tom Hardy
Hardy’s performance as the uncompromising adversary to Leonardo DiCaprio’s character in The Revenant can seen as an audition to play Wolverine. He was tough as nails, brutal, and very, very grey.

One of the Hemsworths
There are three of them, and like Hugh Jackman, they’re all from Australia.

John Bernthal
After starring, and standing out, in the hit TV show The Walking Dead, Bernthal played several small roles in big movies, like The Wolf of Wall Street, Fury, and The Accountant. And as his scene stealing turn as The Punisher on Marvel’s Daredevil showed, he’s at his best playing gruff antiheroes.

Or maybe someone completely unexpected (Shah Rukh Khan)
Don’t forget, before Jackman was cast in the role, he was best known as a musical theatre actor with no experience in big movies. So perhaps they’d go the same route in casting the new Wolverine. Since Jackman has already thrown a couple of names out there (like SRK), a totally unexpected actor has a real chance to replace him.

17 years, 8 films: Hugh Jackman slices and dices one last time as Wolverine in Logan

Jackman first played Wolverine in 2000’s X-Men, his acting debut in Hollywood, sparking a re-emergence of superhero movies and kicking off a franchise that has so far clocked up $4.4 billion in box office receipts.
Director Bryan Singer had considered a number of big names for the part, including Edward Norton, Russell Crowe and Keanu Reeves.
He settled on Dougray Scott but the Scottish star had to drop out and Jackman was brought on board at the last minute.
Since then, the Australian actor has slipped into Wolverine’s skin in X2: X-Men United and X-Men: The Last Stand, before fleshing out the character’s back story in the prequel X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
There was a cameo in X-Men: First Class and starring roles in The Wolverine, and X-Men: Days of Future Past before another brief appearance in X-Men: Apocalypse.

The installments have ranged wildly in quality, with Days of Future Past receiving almost universally glowing reviews while Origins was hammered by the critics.
Jackman, however, has been praised for consistently finding Logan’s humanity beneath the gruff, scarred exterior.

This Bollywood actress refused to play Shah Rukh Khan’s on-screen mom

Actresses of all ages go weak in the knees at the thought of sharing screen space with Shah Rukh Khan . The Bollywood heartthrob has charmed women of all ages, and Swara Bhaskar is no exception to that.

The actress has harboured ambitions to work with SRK for the longest time. When she got to know that Aanand L Rai, who directed her in 'Raanjhanaa' and the 'Tanu Weds Manu' series, was making a film with the superstar, Swara apparently approached him for a role.

According to reports, she told the director that she loved SRK and had grown up obsessing over his films. Swara made it clear that she wanted to romance the 51-year-old actor and wouldn't play his sister or daughter. To her disappointment, the only role that Aanand could offer her was that of Shah Rukh's mother in the film.

Swara ended up turning down the offer. Guess she will have to hold out longer for a role opposite SRK.
